Greeley's Hideout (Update #136)

Hallo, Jammers! ^.^

This week's update is kind of mediocre, to be honest. I was expecting a new animal, or adventure, or SOMETHING...

... but it seems that instead, we got a new den!

Complete with lava-spewing pipes,

a lake of magma,

and even a drab, purple interior! -.-

Have to say, I don't particularly like this den. It's too dark and ominous for me.

<.< "Friendship-themed armor"? Ironic because you wear armor when you're going to go into battle, and friendship is the opposite of battling. X3

The armor itself even has little heart-shapes! *sigh*

>.> The Friendship Party's coming back as a kind of substitute for Valentine's Day. Yaaay.

Wait... this means we get to adopt a panda?! :o YESSS!

Picture a fluffy 500-pound ball of adorableness dashing around the headquarters of AJHQ, scattering papers and coffee mugs everywhere. >:D That's something I'd pay diamonds to see!

<.< Looks like our new animal is the owl! I wonder if they'll be smaller than all of the other animals, or maybe about the size of a bunny. The owls in that video seemed rather small, even in comparison with a penguin:

Seee? The owls look adorably short and squat. ^-^

>.> According to the artist in that video, Mira's all straight lines and no frumpy shapes. Have you noticed that about her?

Now, here are some interesting usernames for your enjoyment:

Yikes. I don't like scars or scratches. >.< (Totally off-topic fact: I have a small, nearly unnoticeable sliver under one eye. It's a scar from when my brother jammed a monster truck into my face XP)

That rabbit's face looks very much like the 'o.o' emoticon.

Glad to know that 'she's too cute'...

Play Wild Beta

Hallo, Jammers! ^.^

Some of you have heard of ze new Animal Jam app that's currently in beta testing: Play Wild. It's supposed to be a fun and interactive app, much like Animal Jam!

Now, here'r a few screenshots I took of it from the video on YouTube:

As you can see, this is a wolf wearing an Elf Helmet and standing in his den. You can already tell from this picture that there's a closer, tighter perspective than the one on Animal Jam itself. Notice the wallpaper, too- it looks like some weird version of Blue Vines. o.o

Now here's the movie theater.

And JMF, in which you have to click on an item in order to purchase it.

Now, here are some of the wallpapers. I recognize a few, but the strawberries and plaid are new to me. So are the purple polka dots. :p I wonder what they're called?

Now, here's the Settings page, where you can adjust the volume and lock your den. Neat, hm?

And of course, no app would be complete without a game! So here's some Falling Phantoms for ya.

We also have Coral Canyons, in which you can see the top of the art studio as well as a gushing blue waterfall. Pretty! c: Underneath the waterfall's a purple door that looks like the entrance to Epic Wonders. There's a 'COMING SOON' sign, though, so AJHQ probably hasn't gotten to it yet.

The loading screen says 'ANIMAL JAM BETA' and displays a factoid.

Now, here are some of the clothing items: including the neon Stove Pipe Hat. It looks like some weird, colorful version of the Top Hat! In the background, you can see a few familiar items that are oddly colored, such as the pastel-looking Flower Crown.

This is the bar in which you select your name. 

And of course, the Jamaa Journal! Isn't it neat that there's a feedback icon, so that Jammers can contribute their own ideas to the community?

This is an example of the chat. It seems as if AJHQ is going to change the chat bar up again, as it looks rather plain and white.

On this screen, you can change the shape of your eyes! There are several wacky types, such as the heart eyes and swirl eyes. X3

And this looks like where you can adjust your patterning. Instead of squares, the colors look like blobs of paint!

Finally, Jam Mart Furniture: it's only one level and has several wacky new items. I can't wait until we can see them all! c:<

I logged in, and this strange-looking JAG immediately caught my attention...

This could be a perfectly innocent Jammer, but the fact that they're dressed as Fman AND named after a glitch seems kinda fishy. :/

And they also happen to be named after Fman. Coincidence? Definitely not.

I didn't accept. :p

"Bounce House Party" 2015 & Den User Glitch

Hallo, Jammers! ^.^

According to the Jamaa Journal (which I haven't checked in forever), there's a "new, fun addition to Jamaa's parties!" Yaaaaaay. :/

Well, at least the idea seems like a neat change!

And by neat, I mean AWESOME! Bouncy houses were always my favorite when I was little, and I have tons of vivid memories that involve hopping around in 'em. >:D

When you enter the Bounce House Party, there's a ton of plasticey furniture for you to plop down on. Too bad you can't bounce while you sit! :'c

There's also this area made of a squishy green substance that looks like a pillow, where you hop up and down in the air instantly! Makes it a bit laggy, but it's worth it to see all of the funny poses.

"Oh noes, I can't control my feet! D:"

"Why is this smelly polar bear invading my personal space?!"

See, what'd I tell you? Priceless. (':

There's also a cute little sales tent that sells...... well.....

*facepaws* Just what we all needed. Inflatable furniture. Animal Jam has reached a revolutionary point.

On a totally unrelated topic, most of you have probably experienced this annoying glitch at some point or another:

I called this the Den User Glitch because it puts the word 'den' before your username. I'm Edwingrim2, not denEdwingrim2! Dumb computer. >:U

No, I'm not dead.

Hey there.

Long time no see.

Well, ahhh... *fidgets nervously* I know I've been terrible at posting. But to be honest, Animal Jam just doesn't have much appeal to me anymore.

That's probably the case because I've found my own pocket of happiness and belonging in real life. And right now, I'm really happy. 

Happier than I've been in a long time.

Anyways, I'll probably post here frequently again. But less daily item posts, and more whatever strikes me. But don't worry- the posts be even more lengthy and interesting! c:

Now, here's my New Year's gift to you guys:

Thanks so much. For the views, the heartfelt comments, the laughs- everything. <3

Now, here are a few random memories from this year (in "real life"):

• Watching sepia Autumn sunrises in the mornings.
• Walking home in the rain and getting completely soaking.
• Being told that I was pretty, which made me feel like a happy, floaty helium balloon for hours afterwards.
• Swimming in the ocean in Hawaii and floating on my back.
• Tasting a Pumpkin Spice Latte, then deciding that it was way too thick and cinnamoney to actually enjoy.
• Ranting in class about school not being canceled, even though the roads were like slushy battlegrounds.
• Laughing my head off and being stared at like I was insane.
• Taking like 5896983276-bajillion photos of the sunset over the beach.
• Going on long walks in the crisp air.
• Observing other peoples' facial expressions.
• Being (almost) tricked into singing in public by a friend.
• Going on a 9-hour plane flight on a plane the size of blimp with two separate aisles (gasp!)
