Edwing Talks #1~ Are Members and Nms the Same?

There was quite a heated argument in the Jamaa Township today about whether members and nonmems are "the same."

Fauna: THERES NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MEMBERS AND NONMEMBERS

Awesome: THATS NOT TRUE

Mighty: non members cant get gifts through jags

Fauna: so? it's just pieces of a screen:t

Awesome: CANT

 Here's my decision:
Nms and Members are the same deep down. We're all people who play AJ for fun and will always have a special place in our hearts for our buddies.
However, the rights of NMs are different than the rights of members. For an example, only, like 40% of the current available items are for nms, too.
What I'm saying is that nonmembers and members can BOTH have fun on AJ, but nonmembers have more limited rights.
If my decision about this any different than yours, then that DOES NOT make you a bad person. It doesn't make me one, either. ^-^ We all may have different views of this issue, but here's the important thing to understand:
WE'RE ALL THE SAME DEEP DOWN.
We ALL have a worth, whether mem or nm. We're all people behind the screens, no matter who we are or where we may be. c:

Rare Freedom Tie & Blue "Tears"

Hallo, Jammers! ^.^

Do you ever have mornings where you feel really bouncy and happy and productive and you just want to do something nice for the world?
I get them all of the time. X3 And yesterday was one of those mornings. Today I'm feeling kind of 'meh' because I'm getting a cold.

Anyways, today's new item goes with the theme of Independence Day nicely. It is...

... the Rare Freedom Tie!
Pros:

• Only 550 gems- very cheap by RIM standards
• An Independence Day-y Item
• NM! *flings confetti wildly*

Cons:

• The weird patches with the red string- it makes the item look kind of shabby
• ...
• ...
• potato?

That's really all there is to say about this item :3 It's not too bad, but certainly not my favorite RIM ever.
Now, to add a little mystery to your Monday; why do you think that there are those weird particles of blueish dust drifting out of Zios's face?

 Here's my theory: it's the color of Mira's lovely plumage, so I'm pretty sure that it's HER tears bringing the phantoms to life. Because, you know, when a few animals sleep around the Zios statue, then the phantoms come out, or are "brought to life." :p
I also have other theories, but I'd like to hear yours! What do you think that the Mysterious Blue Dust is, and what does it mean?

Freedom Fox Hat & Weird George Washington Dream

I had this weird dream that I was in England, and my friend Maricia and I were orphaned because we had really mean adoptive parents. We got onto a bus and asked the bus driver to help us, but all that he would do was give us a free ride to this random bus stop in the middle of New York (idk how the bus traveled that far in, like, 10 minutes either). 

For some reason, while we were on the bus we traveled back in time, so we stepped off the bus in 1799, the year that George Washington died. We decided that we wanted to see George Washington's house because, for some reason, I had a burning desire to sit on all of the furniture, which is fenced off in modern day when you take the tour so that you can't. XD

Anyways, once we arrived I was just sitting down on a lemon-yellow couch with a lovely floral patterning when a maid in a stiff black dress and white apron came along, walking next to and talking to Martha Washington about how, now that George had died, she would consider turning Mt. Vernon into a museum. She was carrying this weird piece of plastic that is used to create museum cases under one arm.

Once she left, I spotted a clunky-looking old computer sitting on a wooden desk in the corner of a room. This weird tab was pulled up with the title 'Travel Back to Beta'. It was apparently a website that could take you back a few years in cyberspace (meaning, in computer time.)

Of course, I wanted to revisit beta, so I clicked on the Animal Jam logo on the screen. Animal Jam started loading, as always, and I spawned into the beta Jamaa Township.

First, I went to the den store. There were all of these weird nonexistent carpets; eg Peachy Puff, Dusty Grey Tiles, Brown Samoa (???) which I'm pretty sure my brain made up either because I was hungry or had a ridiculous lack of sleep. After I bought a few carpets, I decided that I wanted to go back to modern Animal Jam without doing anything else.

After arriving in a flash of purple light, I tried to place one of the carpets down, and it only covered about 1/2 of my den. One of my buddies kept asking me what type of carpet it was and why she had never seen it before.

Then, I woke up. The End.

Wow, I don't really know why I went into all of that. X3

Welp, today's new item is from the Freedom Party and shows lots of red, white, and blue spirit!

The Freedom Fox Hat, at a pricey 1,250 gems. Wowie, that's kind of expensive for a party item. O.O But then again, I guess that they'll be in high demand simply because... they're fox hats!

Of course, I just had to try out the fox hat on my fox. c;
Even though fox hats are kiiiiinda overrated, they're not too bad. Is it just me, or does the fox hat craze seem to be... um... dying down?

The fireworks in the sky look almost exactly like the ones at the Freedom Party. ^.^

New 'Raffy Update & Crystal Palace

Yep, I disappeared again! I would have had Fluffiest post for me, but we both have camps to go to, so that wouldn't work. >.<

Me: ?

Earl: it still so sad

Them: ....

Baron: well lets get food if we wanna survive

Baron: :walks around forest looking for food:

Earl: lets go

Baron: :follows track of elk smell:

Typical clans and their typical roleplays. ;-; ( <---- that face starts to look a bit like a weird cube if you stare at it for a long time)

Grand Piano & Eye Picture

Hallo, Jammers!
I haven't been posting because I have to wake up at 7:30 AM to get ready for a camp which, unfortunately, is a loooong drive away. It's from 9:00-12:00 in the morning, which means that now I'm going to have to post in the afternoon for the next few days.
But why, Edwing?! you may ask.
Simple; I'm not one of those people who can write a beautiful, elaborate, meaningful post at 7:30 AM. It turns out sounding more like I've been brainwashed. XD

Anywaysss, here's today's lovely and refined new item:

The Grand Piano is a very nice, intricate item with a vase of roses sitting atop it. Even though the sheet music looks kinda... er... like a bunch of tic marks that are sitting on a few blobby lines, all in all it's a very nice item! ^.^
Now, here's a picture of my eye that Fluffiest took for no apparent reason:

For those random few people who would ask; no, I'm not wearing *cough* eye makeup. Just to clear that up.
Also, I FINALLY got enough diamonds to get a hyena! Yay, me C: Introducing Medieval Grandrose, a true diva with flair and a fear of both chipping her manicured fingers and splinters. (because honestly, who likes 'em?!)

Kite & Summer Carnival Ranting

Hallo, Jammers!

It's nice and overcast today, with a high chance of rain. I love stormy days. :D

Today's new item is the opposite of stormy! It's nice and summery, at the high price of 2,500 tickets. It is...

The Kite! Wow, inventive name. I DO like this item, though... it looks rather nice and it's very summery. That reminds me; when I was little, I loved flying kites during the summer. Once, we went on vacation and flew my kite (which was blue with dolphins on it) on the beach alongside the ocean. If I were there now, I would have taken lots of pictures. :3
The annoying thing about the new summer carnival is that it's not on the dropdown party menu anymore. >.<

Instead, you have to go to the Jamaa Township and click on the little Summer Carnival banner thingy.

The problem with this is, if the Jamaa Township is full then you won't be able to get into the Summer Carnival! >.< Another reason why AJHQ made multiple new servers.

Greely Tiki Statue & Ladder Dream

Hallo, Jammers!

Sorry for the late post. This morning I was too lazy to make a lengthy, good-quality post so I decided to post later. Also, it's officially summertime for me. ^.^ I have a huuuuge summer bucket list, so maybe I could post it here sometime?

Well, anyways, today's woodsy new item is the next in the line of wooden alpha statues.

It's the Greely Tiki Statue, in which Greely looks more like a dog with his long, slobbery tongue than an alpha. Yeesh, Greely, haven't you ever been to a cotillion or fancy restaurant? >.<

It kind of undermines the fact that he's supposed to be sulky, brooding, and imposing, hmm?

Oh, and here's a common scam:

If someone sends you a JAG asking for an item for their "video" ask for their channel name or something, and don't send anything unless you actually KNOW the person.

This is how the scam works: The vile scammer will send you a JAG asking for an item for "their video." They may bombard you with JAGs until you send them something. They will then escape with the item, cackling behind their computer screen. D:<

Today I had a weird dream that, for some reason, I was sitting in a log canoe that was floating down a stream in the crater of this canyon thingy with my dad. We were going to rescue my mom and brother, who were in a cage somewhere in Antarctica. We had to get there before dusk or something. o.e After a while, we pulled up at a random dock and tied up our canoe. There were all of these blue and gray boats bobbing about in the harbor that were also tied up to the wooden dock.

This man (who was apparently my dad's college friend, according to my dream) and his dark-haired son wanted to come too, for some reason, so we started climbing up a wooden ladder that was atop the dock. Once we got to the top of the ladder, we stepped onto a wooden platform that was somehow suspended in the air. There was another ladder attached to the platform and we climbed up that, too. Then we got to ANOTHER platform, and the same thing happened a few times over. Suddenly, we found that the sixth or so platform was made of ice with a fluffy coating of snow. My dad and his college friend started battling these weird cartoon penguins and ended up sliding back down to the bottom of the ladders because one of the penguins pushed them. I kept climbing. Eventually, they made their way up again and we all got to this weird jungly area with tons of trees that had clumps of bananas dangling from them. We ate some of the yummy bananas, and that was about when I woke up.

Odd, huh?

Peck Tiki Statue

Hallo, Jammers!

Today's the last day of school! I can hardly believe it...

It's going to be a half-day, thank goodness. I don't think that we're even going to do anything other than play board games (which I happen to despise). >.<

Anyways, today's new item is the awful Peck Tiki Statue:

Look at her tongue! It's practically -ew- dangling out of her mouth! She doesn't look nearly as intricate as any of the other alpha statues, as her only accessories are those weird bands wrapped around her feet and the bell dangling from her ear. Her stomach happens to look a bit like a leaf because of the pattering, though, if you look at it closely enough... so do her ears. o.o

This is definitely NOT my favorite tiki statue, but if the tongue-thingy was taken out, then I would be fine with it. I suppose they put it there to show what a "jokester" Peck is. Hah.

I'd better go... school. D:

Creepy Graham Tiki Statue & the New Secret Color

Hallo, Jammers!

Two days of school left. Yay. :3

I have to sing in front of my class (moannnn) so let's see how that goes...

Today's odd little item is the creepy Graham Tiki Statue at the price of all of the other statues- 500 gems.

Ehhh... I don't particularly like this statue. Graham's teeth are gritted creepishly, and he's all slumped over. If you've ever noticed, Graham seems to have bad posture. Or maybe it's just the fact that he knuckle-walks because he's a monkey.

Also, I'm planning to make a plushie blog, and any plushie donations would be very appreciated. :3

Now, here's something interesting I've noticed about the Pet Stop:

The scarf looks pink before you select it...

 ... but once you click on it, it seems to turn the color of your animal's patterning! In my case, it was a light shade of brown.

Interesting, hmm? I thought that it was a glitch at first. x3

There's also a new article on the Daily Explorer about the new colors and one 'mystery color.' In case you're wondering what this elusive mystery color is, it looks like this:

Kind of a pale rose color. It's very pretty. :3

Sir Gilbert Tiki Statute & Alpha Party Invite

Hallo, Jammers!

I only have three days of school left! That means, during the summer I should hopefully have more time to post! :D

Anyways, today's new item is rather... um... unexpected.

It's the next wooden alpha statue, making three in the line so far. Maybe it took longer to make, and that's why AJHQ chose to release it a few days later. It seems like one of the more intricate items to me, at any rate. ^-^

Nice detail, good price, but member! >.< I guess that nms won't be having a line of tiki alpha statues anytime soon... bummer. :(

Anyways, the release of the new alpha-themed items have inspired me to have a party for 20 followers with the theme of alphas!  Please try to come if you can, and keep up the great viewing!

Rare Fedora, Animal Jam Details, and Spirit Armor

Hallo, Jammers!

Wow, I can hardly believe that this is the last week of school before Summer break! My grade is having a pool party today to celebrate, which I'm really excited for. (:

Today's item is the spiffy, teal-colored fedora for a whopping 950 gems!

Aside from the price, it's a rather nice item, even if it's not quite as good as last week's RIM. It could be a nice underwater item, don't you think?

Empress and the Rare Fedora make a good combo if I do say so myself. ^.^ Even if the speech bubble decided to be annoying and semi-block her rose-tinted head. (yes, I used the secret color on her)

Now, I have a question: look at all of the clothing and decorative items in this screenshot. Which ones do you see? I see:

• A Mira statute (which is beta)
• Potted Bamboo, currently out in Treetop Gardens
• Weird jeweled toe-shoes shaped like paws in silver and gold
• A small candle next to the bamboo
• To the left of the candle. Is that a... pear?
• A weird cacti-looking plant with a white flower growing out of the top next to the Mira Statue
• A brown and white feathered headress hanging above the bamboo
• In the background next to the machine, it looks like there's a pile of sticks in a vase!

This really gives you an idea for how much effort and time AJHQ puts into making every little thing detailed- and this is just the corner of Jam Mart Furniture! Try looking at the details sometime while on Animal Jam and see what YOU can find!

Today's neat little article on the Daily Explorer was written by AJHQ, and it's the interesting story of Spirit Armor. I've always kind of wondered about some of the items, on Animal Jam so more articles like this would be nice. :3

I have to go now, because of school (and pool party :D) preparations.

Non-Rare Gazelles and the New Underwater Adventure

Hallo, Jammers!

Guess what? I have lice. >w<

It's horribly annoying, and I probably got it from school.

These people have to come and give us special lice-ridding shampoo and sift through my hair for like an hour. Yaaaaay.

You can just imagine how enthusiastic I am about that.

Anyways, today's item is one of my favorite items to come out this year!

Gazelles! FINALLY! This may confuse quite a few people to the rarity of gazelles, but let me just say, the colors that came out today are not rare. Just for clarification. :3

Anyways, I'm really happy that finally I can own a pair of gazelles! We knew that their rarity couldn't last forever. After all, it's only a virtual game!

Oh, and I also went on the new dolphin adventure.

 ^ This is the beautiful underwater area that the portal leads to, where more underwater adventures are likely to appear over the next few months. Maybe even a new underwater animal will be released to go with the adventures! ^.^

Hehe, that was me kind of toying around with the adventure. :3

Also, random question- should I post a B&W (black and white) picture of my eyes? I've been experimenting with my phone camera and I kind of like the picture quality. ^.^
