Den Tips & Tricks

Hallo, Jammers! ^.^

This page will hopefully instruct you on how to create a memorable, fun den. You don't have to do any of this if you don't want to, of course. The beauty of den decorating is that it's all up to you! c;

Tip 1: Choose a wallpaper and floor that aren't of the exact same color and pattern.  For example, Wavy Pink Walls and Pink Swirls may be a similar pair, but combined, they can look kind of drab.

Now, take a look at this!

You wouldn't expect the two wallpapers to look nice together, but in my opinion it looks much more lively! Of course, you can pair two wallpapers of the same color together if you want to, especially if you're aiming to make an "all-pink palace" or something of that sort. :3

Tip 2: To make a comfy nonmember bed, take a few colorful pillows and mats and plop them down atop three or so Striped Couches. Then for the final touches, place down a few Bamboo Fences for privacy and add a Spiral Lamp as a nightlight!

This can serve as a cozy place to relax after a tiring day in Jamaa, and can also give your den a more realistic feel- especially if you're aiming to make it similar to your room 'irl'! ^.^

Tip 3: For a more soothing effect, create a room with a Blue Fire Drum in the center and plop down a few mats and pillows so that you can sit down after a long day and chat with a few buddies!

Placing a few plushies or candles down only adds to the cozy effect, or you can substitute different candles in place of the scented ones. :3

Tip 4: Go to the SOL arcade and buy a few games (or all of 'em, if you're a person with waaay too much free time like me X3). Line the games up along the walls to create an orderly appearance, and put a few touches of decoration around (eg: a plushie or fountain). 

When you're done, this should be the fabulous result!

Tip 5: For a fun, seasonal look get a Curved Sofa that matches your color scheme (red and yellow are always good ideas), or substitute with a Striped Couch if you're nm. Add a few plushies and a table for homey touches, but don't forget about the wall decorations! Winter Windows can make practically anything seem cosy. :3

Ta-daaaa! Feel free to add in other decorations and place something, like a Hot Coca Set or flower vase, on the table. (:
